Then, in the middle of the same year, 1990 to be exact, Geoff appoints his son Gary Cross as his successor. Gary had held pretty much every position in the company starting from a regular Mechanic to Professional Truck Driver, to Dispatcher and Terminal Manager all the way to Operations Manager then General Manager, CFO, and in the end, he becomes CEO of Bulk Transportation.
While Bulk transportation is under Gary’s leadership, the company marks some rapid and enormous growth and success, especially in the liquid chemical market.
He pursued additional intermodal business and facilities and diversified the operations further by investing in chassis equipment with the goal to gain market share in the domestic and international transportation of ISO tank containers.
