And no, I am not talking about the 2016 movie “Monster Trucks.”, nor am I speaking about the Canadian rock band Monster Truck!
I am talking about the high-octane fuel injected carnage that the monster truck world has! You know the stuff that even Mad Max can’t walk away from!
We go on this kind of Monster truck show events to cheer for our favorites and to see/hear the roar of the machines, the metal crushing, gear grinding fight to be the best.
You know you have a favorite and there are many to choose from, some of the more popular ones you’ll see at a monster truck show are:
- Bigfoot, consider the granddaddy when it first roared to life in 1975!
- Gravedigger, no not the wrestler, this truck came to life in the early 80’s.
- Maximum Destruction, since 2003 that’s what it’s been doing!
- Monster Mutt, don’t let its pedigree fool you, its crews to the bone!
- Bear Foot, the only one to go up against Bigfoot and live, since 1979!
Of course, there are many more popular monster trucks; the term comes from them being made from the body of a truck.
Then same like Frankenstein’s creation, they were originally built from scavenged parts, but now, of course, there is an entire industry built around the creation of the monster truck. And not all are trucks! Some are cars, and some… well, some truly are a monster!!!
So, I scoured the Internet trying to find unique monster truck shows. There are several that are tours, having many dates and performing in cities all across the USA and Canada.
Others are events at the local fair. And lastly, I included few other related events. Hope you find the elusive beast before it finds where you parked!!!
