But the technology continued to improve, CD’s, IPods, satellite radio, live streaming, and so many other options have come along.

These now days you have all those different types of electronic gadgets where you can browse your favorite songs! This is great, because now you can listen to all your favorite trucking songs, whenever you wish.

But we still return to the argument of which is truly the best and how do we determine which one is to be the best? So here are 25 of my personal favorite trucking songs:

1. Trucking Songs – “Six Days on the Road”

Dave Dudley in 1963 recorded ‘Six Days on the Road’. It was written by Earl Green and Carl Montgomery (of Muscle Shoals Sound Studio). This is often hailed as an anthem celebrating the truck driver.

The band Sawyer Brown made it into Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks Top 15 in 1997. It was also covered by Del Reeves, George Jones, Red Simpson, Nev Nicholls, Ferlin Husky, Boxcar Willie, Wolfman Jack, Motorpsycho, Red Sovine, Jim Croce, George Thorogood, Tom Petty, the Flying Burrito Brothers, and about two dozen other artist, just to name a few.
