What is truck towing

A Tow truck is a truck used to move disabled, impounded, improperly parked or indisposed motor vehicles. These tow trucks are also called:

There a few types of Truck Towing:

Boom towing –adjustable boom winch is used to recover vehicles from a ditch, or any place where the vehicle cannot be safely reached.

Hook and chain – this type of towing is practiced for vehicles that have been in an accident and where the front or rear wheels are missing. This towing type is not much used because the chains that are looped around the frame and there are possibility of scratching or damaging the bumper.

Wheel-Lift – this is a modern and safer form of hook and chain towing technology. Hook and chains are replaced with a metal yoke that can be fitted under the rear or front wheels were just the wheels are touched and lift.

Flatbed – in this way the vehicle is pulled and towed. It is widely used to tow various types of vehicles because the risk of damaging is very low.

It is more practical because when the vehicles are transported using a flatbed truck, the wheels are not left hanging in the air and because of that there is a low possibility of damaging.
